Notices from the London Borough of Barnet in this week’s edition of the Barnet Borough Times detail the closures that will begin with an anticipated three-day closure of Moxon Street at its junction with High Street from 8am on Friday. The alternative route during this period will be via High Street, Park Road, Victors Way, Moxon Street and vice versa. ....

But then Professor Germaine Greer is no ordinary professor. She has a literary back catalogue the size of a small library, a Phd from Cambridge (in Shakespeare s comedies) and a professorship at Warwick University. But it still feels like she has something to prove. Greer comes to artsdepot on Wednesday next week for an evening of debate and discussion. If any other personality was concerned, a profile interview would be published ahead of the event. However, Greer does not give press interviews. She only speaks on radio and TV because she is afraid of being misquoted. ....
Pair from Harby among three people sentenced for committing prison offences | Updated: 13:16, 19 December 2020 Two men and a woman were sentenced today at Lincoln Crown Court for conspiracy to bring, throw or convey alcohol and a mobile phone into a prison, HMP North Sea Camp near Boston. One of the men, Mark Anthony Ryder, was also sentenced for possessing a mobile phone inside HMP North Sea Camp. Ryder, 52, was sentenced to 14 months and 10 months respectively. These sentences will run concurrently. Lincs Police (43636149) Michelle Bloxham, 46, of Boyers Orchard, Harby, received an eight-month suspended sentence. A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: âThese items are prohibited for a reason and any attempt to bring them into a prison is a very serious matter with serious consequences. ....
Trio near Grantham sentenced for trying to smuggle alcohol and mobile into prison | Updated: 17:28, 18 December 2020 Two men and a woman were sentenced today for conspiracy to bring prohibited articles into prison including alcohol and a mobile phone. Darren Guildford, 46, of Nether Street, Harby, in the Vale of Belvoir, was sentenced to 10 months in prison at Lincoln Crown Court today for conspiracy to bring, throw or convey prohibited articles into HMP North Sea Camp, contrary to section 1(1) of the Criminal Law Act 1977, namely alcohol and a mobile phone.
