On Tuesday, Aragosa kicked off his political campaign to unseat Koetzle this year, in a pivotal race in a key battleground municipality that will determine the balance of power on a 5-member governing body where Republicans currently hold a 3-2 majority. Clarksville Now William Joseph Forrester, age 82 of Clarksville passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Skyline Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Bill entered this life on October 25, 1938, in Waverly, TN to the late Ardell and Mattie Forrester. He was a graduate of Waverly Central High School. Bill enjoyed playing golf and was a Veteran of The United States Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Clarksville, and retired from the State of Tennessee. Bill graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree at Austin Peay State University, where he served as both President and Vice President for The Circle K Club. Quick Hits Department of Commerce found that agency head Wilbur Ross did not notify the Ethics Law and Programs Division about his participation in meeting that included discussion of sectors in which Ross has significant personal investments. The report did not allege any criminal conduct but did say some of Ross s activities created an appearance of impropriety. The IG report also looked at Ross s many short sales of stock, and found evidence supporting a finding he used his office for private gain.
