Two hospitalized following crash in Newark

NEWARK, Ohio (WCMH) Two people were hospitalized and two others treated at the scene of a crash Sunday evening in Newark.
According to the Newark Fire Department, the crash happened on the 1200 block of West Main Street at approximately 6:45 p.m.
One victim was taken by Life-Flight to Grant Medical Center. A second victim was also taken to Grant via ambulance. Their conditions are not known at this time.
No further information is available at this time.

2 injured following 2-vehicle crash in Newark

NEWARK, Ohio One person has life-threatening injuries and a second person was hurt following a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Newark.
The Newark Fire Department says the crash happened in the 1200 block of West Main Street.
A call to 911 was received 6:45 p.m.
The eastbound lanes of West Main Street were initially shut down but have since reopened.
Officials say speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.  ....

Thief Leads Multi-Agency Pursuit In Stolen Newark Fire Chief Vehicle, Crashes In Bergen County

A man who stole a Newark Fire Department pickup truck from the scene of a car fire led police on a pursuit before crashing in Bergen County the Fourth of July, authorities said.
The unidentified male apparently hopped behind the wheel of the Ford pickup truck, marked with lights and sirens, from the scene of the blaze at Avon and Peshine avenues around 4:10 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara said.
Several local departments assisted Newark police in following the vehicle apparently that of Battalion Chief 4 before it was spotted by police in Fairview. ....
