The Wellsville Lions Club is proud to announce Jenna McNicol as the Student of the Month for November. She is the Daughter of Judge Tim McNicol and Maria McNicol of Wellsville
Jenna’s academic achievements are the following: Member of the National Honor Society, 3.75 Honors, National Honor Society, and an Academic All Star- Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. She is enrolled in the College Credit Plus, taking classes at Kent East Liverpool while taking classes at Wellsville.
Jenna attended HOBY in 2019. She volunteers in the community serving meals to the underprivileged and as a volunteer for sports youth programs. Jenna was a member of Junior Leadership Columbiana County and has been very active in the ADAPT Coalition (Alcohol and drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment). She has assisted with political campaigns by distributing literature and served as the Videographer for the Lady Tiger Basketball team. She has also assisted with “Learning is Cool” after school

LISBON The Columbiana County Board of Elections officially appointed and swore in multiple positions on the board Friday afternoon.
Judge Tim McNicol swore in Kim Fusco as director and Bryce Miner as deputy director, along with board members Victor Maroscher, representing the Republican party, and Larry Bowersock, representing the Democratic party, all of whom were already in those positions.
David Johnson remains chairman and Patricia Colian remains vice chair.

WELLSVILLE The Wellsville Community Foundation has been created with a mission “to contribute to charitable purposes, or conduct activities, for the common good, general welfare and civic benefits of the Wellsville community and its environs.”
Seven individuals have agreed to serve as trustees of the newly formed non-profit corporation: Attorney Nick Amato; new resident Cressey Belden; County Municipal Judge Tim McNicol; retired executive Eddie Murphy; former banker Peter Russell; retired educator Linda Weekley; and retired executive Robert E. Williamson.
Murphy was elected president, McNicol vice president, Belden secretary, and Weekley treasurer at the foundation’s organizational meeting in late December. Russell served as incorporator.
