Guilford artist shares late son's NY photography in exhibit at Latchis Gallery

BRATTLEBORO — In the time that passed since her son’s death, Guilford’s Susan Rosano knew she wanted to share his photography with her community.
Marco Grimaldi was 31 and living in Brooklyn when he died of what his family believes to have been COVID-19 complications. He grew up in Connecticut and came to know the area through his family’s vacation home in Newfane. Rosano, also an artist, said her son loved Vermont.
Through the end of this month, Grimaldi’s photography is on display in “Polo Shots” at the Latchis Gallery on Main Street in Brattleboro. His work, much of which is visible through the gallery windows, includes bold portraits of people in New York City. ....

Bennington teens call on Gov. Scott to extend motel benefit for homeless

BENNINGTON — An Arlington Memorial High School senior was at the forefront of a news conference Tuesday urging calling Gov. Phil Scott to reverse course on changing the eligibility requirements for a program that kept homeless people sheltered in motels during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Addie Lentzner, 17, a rising senior at AMHS, and Erica Jansch, 14, an incoming freshman at Mount Anthony Union High School, were among students speaking during a press conference calling on Scott and the state Agency of Human Services to walk back regulations that took effect July 1.
