Nobody really likes the idea of getting a shot. But that was back then and well...this is now. We are still not crazy about needles but more and more people are posting about getting their vaccine. It s better to get the unpleasantness out of the way, right?
When Covid reared its ugly head about last year, we couldn t wait to get a vaccine developed. Sure enough, here we are a year later with several of them. We have had our first few phases of people going going to get their vaccinations as they are made eligible. Now that Gov. Abbott has re-opened Texas at 100% capacity starting next week.. here we sit. Waiting to see how quickly we can get everyone vaccinated and taken care of. ....

Second dose of COVID-19 vaccine can be four months after the first, expert panel says

An expert panel that advises the federal government on vaccination has determined that second doses of COVID-19 vaccines can be given up to four months after the first, two sources say.
The shift from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI), which previously supported extending the interval between doses to no more than six weeks, would open the door for more people to receive their first vaccination while supplies are still limited. It would also lend support to other provinces to follow the new vaccine schedule B.C. adopted on Monday.
The Globe and Mail is not identifying the sources, who are familiar with the NACI deliberations, because they are not authorized to speak publicly about the matter. ....
