‘Mother is battling between life and death’: Son appeals for bed at King Koti Hospital

Hyderabad: The second wave of highly contagious COVID-19 has ruined many families with many patients affected by the disease making visits to the hospitals.
Many patients are visiting King Koti hospital with breathing problems as their oxygen levels are decreasing. With beds shortage reported in the hospital, most of the patients are seen lying on the floor of the hospitals and waiting for any bed to be vacated.
An old lady who was affected by the COVID-19 reached King Koti hospital was made to lay on the floor of the hospital with no beds available. Her son appealed to the doctors and hospital management that his mother is fighting for her life, please arrange a bed for her. The hospital management has clarified that they are willing to do the treatment but there is no b ....

IAF to open 100-bed COVID care facility at Air Force Station, Jalahalli

The Indian Air Force has decided to establish a 100-bed COVID-19 treatment facility at Air Force Station Jalahalli for the general public. As per the information shared by the PRO Bengaluru, Ministry of Defence, the first 20 beds will be operational on May 6 with oxygen concentrators only. “Once oxygen availability is ensured by the State government, the remaining 80 beds are expected to be operational by May 20. Of the total 100 beds, there will be 10 ICU beds and 40 beds with piped oxygen. Balance 50 beds will have oxygen concentrators,” states the release.
The facility will be manned by doctors, nurses and paramedical staff provided by the Command Hospital Air Force, Bengaluru. “Admission to the facility will be coordinated by BBMP/ Government of Karnataka through a nodal officer. Government of Karnataka has assured necessary support for pharmacy, oxygen and security,” the release states. ....

INS Chilka sets up 150-bed Covid care unit in Bhubaneswar | Bhubaneswar News

BHUBANESWAR: To tackle the growing number of infected patients, INS Chilka has created a 150-bed Covid care facility for those with mild symptoms. This apart, fifteen beds equipped with oxygen facility have also been made available at the INS Chilka hospital.
INS Chilka, under the aegis of the naval officer-in-charge (Odisha), is geared up to assist the state administration in close coordination with SK Mohanty, Khurda district collector, in setting up a Covid care facility for the patients of Khurda, read the official communication.
The 150-bed Covid care facility has been created in the trainees’ accommodation building within the naval station. It has also set up 15 beds with oxygen facility at INHS Nivarini, the hospital at INS Chilka, for patients requiring oxygen support. ....
