TOKYO, Mar 10, 2021 - (JCN Newswire) - Fujitsu today announced the completion of its Data-Driven Social Creation Platform to contribute to the realization of the Japanese government s Society 5.0 concept(1), which presents a vision of a new, data-intensive society. The new platform commenced operations on March 9, 2021, and will be jointly operated by 9 universities and 2 research institutes(2) in Japan.
The new platform was installed in March 2021 in the Kashiwa II Campus Research Building of the University of Tokyo. In collaboration with the Academic Information Network SINET(3) operated by the National Institute of Informatics (NII), the new platform will provide a wide range of computing resources and data collection, storage, and analysis functions to universities and research institutions throughout Japan. ....

DistroScale unveils new platform services unit

Claiming to be breaking the barrier to entry for streaming TV channel creation, monetisation, DistroScale has launched the DistroTV Platform Services unit for publishers, content creators, video libraries, brands and agencies.
The new service claims to be able to lower “significantly” the barrier to market entry for any media brand interested in creating, monetising and distributing its own streaming TV channel. It offers brands what is said to be a fast, risk-free, and affordable path with no upfront or recurring fixed fees to launch streaming TV channels, generate incremental revenues, and increase viewership.

NORFOLK, Va. - For more than a decade, Brandon Brinkley worked in New York City, outfitting celebrities, participating in Fashion Week and working on Broadway and in film.
I was working my last Fashion Week; that s when COVID hit, said Brinkley.
He spent half his time in New York and half in Norfolk prior to March of last year.
With the industry shut down, all the TV work, all the film work - my day-to-day job was gone, he said.
