Mackay Regional Council will meet on Wednesday to decide whether to slash the charges at both its St Helens Beach and Ball Bay sites in a bid to attract more campers. If the recommendation is approved, the fees at both sites would drop 44 per cent from $27 daily and $156 weekly to $15 and $87, respectively.
