ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – Racecar Driver, Volunteer Firefighter, entrepreneur, inventor, and Bee Gee’s lover, Charlie Dickens of Greenbrier has died. He was 61.
On March 8th Charlie Dickens was taken to the hospital and placed in CCU. Two days later he passed away.
“As much as it hurts my heart to type this out…my perfect, hard-working, selfless father went to be in the arms of Jesus this morning around 9:45 am. He fought so hard, but his body just couldn’t handle it any longer. Heaven gained one heck of a man today, a one-of-a-kind human being who would give anyone the shirt off his back. Life will never be the same, but it’s good to know that he’ll be watching over us. I’m sure he’ll be up in Heaven, fixing something or driving a race car. We will let everyone know the arrangements as soon as possible. Please pray ....

MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley on Wednesday, Feb. 24 delivered his 2021 State of the County address.
Crowley made a point to address racial and ethnic equity in his 2021 remarks, highlighting celebrations of Black History Month as it comes to a close but also Milwaukee County s Native communities.

In a year when masks seem to outnumber wings, Y-12 National Security Complex s “angels” used some creativity to ensure local children had a wonderful Christmas.
The Tennessee branch of the T2 Employee Club distributed more than $11,000 to local charities to be used to purchase Christmas gifts for local children, according to a news release. The following agencies each received $1,400 for the children in their areas:
• United Way of Anderson County;
• United Way of Monroe County;
• Second Baptist Church Angel Tree in Clinton;
• Wesley House Community Center in Knoxville; ....
