Starting April 1, all fishing will be prohibited from April through July in a 1-square-mile area near Western Dry Rocks off Key West.

(Reuters) - Proxy adviser Glass Lewis is recommending investors reject the nearly $30 million pay package for Johnson & Johnson Chief Executive Alex Gorsky, arguing that the healthcare company is shielding its top executives from the legal cost of poor business decisions.

J&J is attracting investor scrutiny because it excluded from its calculation of stock awards to its top executives costs related to lawsuits claiming that the healthcare company helped fuel the nation’s opioid crisis and that traces of asbestos in its talc baby powder caused cancer, Reuters reported on Monday.
Including the opioid and talc-related legal costs would have weighed on Gorsky’s compensation, which totaled $29.6 million in 2020, up 17% from the previous year. ....

KCS to offer Plan A for all students starting April 12

The Kannapolis Board of Education voted unanimously at a special called meeting on Tuesday to give all students the option of Plan A starting April 12. Students will go back to school four days a week per the recommendation of Superintendent Chip Buckwell.
âI recommend to the Board of Education that Kannapolis City Schools enter back into Plan A in-person instruction with a student-family option of continuing remote instruction on April 1, 2021,â Buckwellâs recommendation reads. âI recommend that April 1, 2021 be a remote-instruction day for all students with our next day of instruction being April 12.â
Buckwell initially recommended students come back five days a week, but after discussion among board members, the recommendation was changed to four days a week with an asynchronous learning day on Fridays. ....

Oxford-AstraZeneca s COVID-19 vaccine found to be safe and effective for people aged above 65 years, particularly against severe illness and hospitalization.
The announcement is different from a recommendation made by the NACI itself on March 1, when its panel of vaccine experts said AstraZeneca hadn t included enough people over the age of 65 in its clinical trials, the Xinhua news agency reported.
The committee said that three real-world effectiveness studies helped inform its decision to change the recommendations, including evidence from Britain, which has been administering the vaccine to people over 65 years and older since January. ....
