Burlington County to hold walk-in vaccination clinics across county
WILLINGBORO In an effort to get as many residents vaccinated as possible, Burlington County will be holding vaccination clinics across the county over the next several weeks.
The free clinics will be held in towns where vaccination rates may be lagging behind the county rate of 57% of residents with at least one shot. Residents will be able to make an appointment ahead of time, or just walk-in.
Statewide, and really nationwide, there is a waning of interest in vaccination, said Dr. Herb Conaway, Burlington County Department of Health director. We will start to move this vaccination process around on the theory that proximity will create interest and drive more into the vaccination process. ....

Burlington County forms team to review overdose deaths
MOUNT HOLLY Burlington County officials are forming a team of experts to better understand the circumstances surrounding overdose deaths.
The Overdoses Fatality Review Team will perform confidential reviews of overdose deaths in the county, and use data to identify where the county can better direct resources to prevent future overdoses.
According to state data, 164 people died from suspected drug overdoses in Burlington County in 2019, and another 149 died from suspected overdoses last year.
“By taking a hard look at these unique lives and the circumstances surrounding their addiction and death, we hope to better understand the epidemic here and come up with better ways to fight it. Our main goals are to save lives and help beat addiction, said Burlington County Board of Commissioners Director Felicia Hopson. ....

Burlington County's COVID-19 testing program returning to Rowan College at Burlington County | Medford Central Record


MOUNT LAUREL The Burlington County Department of Health announced the return of walk up COVID-19 testing at the Rowan College at Burlington County campus in Mount Laurel.
Starting Monday, Dec. 28, testing will be performed three days a week in the college’s Student Success Center at the campus on Route 38. Testing next week will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
In January, the regular testing schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. will resume.
