Vermont Business Magazine Burlington City Arts is bringing Festival of Fools back to downtown Burlington from July 30-August 1, 2021. Presented by Community Bank NA, this year s festival marks a return to the Church Street Marketplace and City Hall Park after having to cancel the beloved celebration in 2020 due to the pandemic.
After a long and difficult year that included the cancellation of the 2020 Festival of Fools, it will be great to have some good laughs together once again, said Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger.
As in years past, this year s celebration presents a fantastic lineup of street performers, circus artists, musicians, and comedians performing consistently throughout the three-day event. ....

Burlington Discover Jazz Festival, produced by the Flynn in association with Burlington City Arts, kicks off at the Burlington waterfront on June 4 with a joyous community event called 50 Saxophones-an open-call gathering of local saxophonists of all backgrounds (registration open now).
The festival concludes on June 13 with two jubilant final performances: a Hurly Burly concert (performed from a makeshift stage on back of a flatbed truck) at Smalley Park in Burlington by JACK Quartet and Matthew Evan Taylor, that features the world premiere of Wadada Leo Smith s String Quartet No. 13, as well as a Church Street rave-up courtesy of Resistance Revival Chorus. The 10 days in between feature a fantastic lineup of local and national acts sure to rekindle fond memories and newfound excite ....

Vermont Health Equity Initiative to provide vaccination clinics for BIPOC through July


Offers BIPOC COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics into July, with Support from Vermont Department of Health
Vermont Business Magazine The Vermont Health Equity Initiative, a community partner organization managed by The Vermont Professionals of Color Network, announces a commitment to providing COVID-19 vaccination clinics for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) Vermonters and their households through July 10.
The clinics are being offered with support from the Vermont Department of Health and City of Burlington.
As the first BIPOC-led organization in Chittenden County focused on BIPOC Vermonters and health disparities, the Vermont Health Equity Initiative has delivered over 2800 total doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to date in collaboration with Vermont Racial Justice Alliance, The Black Perspective, Winooski Strong, and University of Vermont’s VT LEND Program, across a total of eight vaccination clinics with the ninth clinic scheduled this Saturday, May 15. ....
