Ann Arbor City Council Member Jeff Hayner has been removed from several city boards, commissions and committees for using a quote on social media attacking journalists with a homophobic slur.

ANN ARBOR, MI The University of Michigan’s Senate Assembly has passed a resolution supporting mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, faculty and staff.
The measure passed by a vote of 25 to 4 on Monday, April 19, with four members abstaining, officials said.
The Senate Assembly supports the safe return of all students, faculty and staff for in-person activities in the fall semester, as well as mandatory vaccination for the UM community, with limited legally mandated exceptions, according to the resolution.
The university currently is not requiring people to get the COVID-19 vaccine, but strongly encourages UM community members to do so. ....
