Q If you had the power or authority, what would you do?
A Easier access to the arts for all, probably starting in schools. The arts is such an integral pillar in society and it seems to keep being overlooked and undervalued.
The statistics are there for improving mental health and quality of life but one element that I think is vital is critical thinking. Art helps you engage with the world in a more critical and curious way and this can only be a good thing.
Q What makes your blood boil every time without fail?
A The notion of fake news and the spreading of wild allegations or conspiracy theories on social media. ....

She has been provided funding for the career development grant to enhance her online presence by exploring digital theatre, an emerging hybrid genre that combines theatre, television, radio, green screen and special effecting using the Zoom platform.
 
 
She is one of 44 d/Deaf and disabled artists who have been awarded £94,000 in funding to create new work and support them through the Covid-19 crisis.
This work will go on exhibition and long term loan to special educational needs sector schools, libraries and other public venues.
The University of Atypical, on behalf of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the Department for Communities, has awarded the grants from the d/Deaf and Disabled Artists Support Fund 2020/21 at a time when artists’ potential to generate income has been seriously impacted by the closure of art galleries, theatres, music venues and other creative outlets. ....
