Westminster College Jazz Ensemble to livestream spring concert Share on: Posted on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 The Westminster College Jazz Ensemble will livestream their final concert of the year at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 25. Under the direction of Dr. Timothy Winfield, associate professor of music, the Jazz Ensemble will perform works by Sammy Nestico, Hank Levy, Gordon Goodwin, Erik Morales and more. Apr 9, 2021 A series of virtual experiences celebrating the lives and works of underrepresented composers will be showcased at the State University at Fredonia School of Music’s second annual Robert Jordan Piano Festival during April. Named in the memory of Professor Emeritus Robert Jordan, who taught at the School of Music from 1980 to 2004, the festival will feature solo and collaborative piano music written by diverse/underrepresented composers, including women, African Americans and members of the LGTBQ community. All festival events will be virtual and free to the public, but online registration is required to receive Zoom links. UNF spring opera Students in the Opera Program at the University of North Florida tackle La finta giardiniera, which Mozart wrote when he was just 18 years old. Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Coxwell Pavilion Stage on the UNF campus.
