12-Year-Old Equestrian Rider Will Ride Son of Horse Her Mom Rode 27 Years Ago to Compete at Hickstead
A 12-year-old horse rider in the UK will be competing at Hickstead show jumping course, riding the son of a mare her mother rode nearly three decades ago.
The young rider’s mom, Sarah Olifent, herself jumped in the equestrian competition 27 years ago as part of a team that finished runners-up in the Schools Championship, Horse & Rider reported.

It s with much sadness and regret that we record the death of Coolcor native Mr Tom Mulligan which occurred suddenly at his home in Ruislip, London on Tuesday, April 27.
Beloved husband of Marie (nee Dalton, Ballinamuck) and dear father to Tracy, Caroline and Peter. Tom was son of the late Peter and Mary Mulligan of Coolcor and was a past pupil of St Gusacht s National school in Bunlahy. ....

George Mason coach Kim English has announced the signing of Australian forward Blake Jones, who will compete for the Patriots beginning in 2021-22.
The Brisbane native currently plays for the Brisbane Bullets in the Australian NBL.
“We are extremely excited to add Blake Jones to our Mason Basketball Family,” English said. “His experience of playing with professionals in the NBL this season is going to be incredibly valuable to him. T.O.: I actually quite liked them. There was one class in particular that was my favorite– it was the [Identity Development of the] Contemporary Female class, my professor was Dr. Julie Rousseau. I don t know, I just found it so interesting. Just every week, it was something different, so I was never bored. And that was the class I had at like 1:30 AM, so it was hard to wake up for but it was interesting once it started.

Q:
Did you figure out any ways to get more out of an online learning experience as the semester progressed?

T.O.: Well something that worked for me was replaying my lectures after they had finished– that was a really good thing about online school, that you could watch them back, because sometimes it s kind of difficult to really understand what your professor is trying to say. They did do a really good job, it s just a bit difficult at times, so I d watch them back and take notes, and replay them as many times as I needed to ....
