San Francisco police announced Tuesday the arrest of a man accused of robbing a TV news reporter at gunpoint last week in the city s Twin Peaks neighborhood as the victim was filming a news story.
Ronald Whitten, 34, of San Francisco, was arrested in connection with the robbery that happened last Wednesday afternoon near the corner of Twin Peaks Boulevard and Burnett Avenue.
The reporter was filming a news story about an uptick in robberies in the area when a vehicle drove up and several men got out. One the men brandished a gun and demanded the victim s property, including the camera, police said. ....
