It was also gathered that the incident was a reaction to the recent attack in some communities in Bassa LGA, where several lives were lost, farms destroyed and over 200 houses were set ablaze. Governor Simon Lalong, through his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Makut Simon Macham, said, “The intervention of the security personnel immediately brought the situation under control as the youths were dispersed and the road cleared, thereby restoring traffic flow.”
