Checks show that most flights have been fully booked on various routes like Lagos-Abuja; Lagos-Port Harcourt; Lagos-Enugu, Lagos-Kano, among others.
For those who booked over the weekend, they succeeded in securing some seats after many tries even at an exorbitant price.
From last week, it was gathered that prices of tickets have gone up due to the volume of online bookings ahead of the Easter festivity.
For instance, as at last week, Lagos-Abuja flight which used to be less than N30,000 has gone up to between N54,000 and N60,000. The route is the busiest in the domestic travel market.
Daily Trust reports that other hinterlands that are not as busy as Lagos-Abuja or Abuja-Kano are even more expensive. ....

NCAA Suspends Azman Air Operations

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended Azman Air flight operations.
This was announced in a statement signed on Tuesday by NCAA Director-General, Musa Nuhu, and titled, “NCAA Suspends Azman Air Operations With Immediate Effect.”
Nuhu in the statement added that the suspension of the Air Operations is to enable the Authority to conduct an audit of the airline.
“Following series of incidents involving Azman Air Boeing 737 Aircraft, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has pursuant to Section 35 (2) of the Civil Aviation Act, 2006 and Part 1.3.3.3 (A) of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs) 2015, suspended the operations of all the Boeing 737 Aircraft in the Fleet of Azman Air Services Limited, with effect from March 15, 2021. ....
