Brown regarded his final-round duel against fellow three-time champions and best friend Steve Torrence as a heavyweight slugfest à la the Hollywood one from Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky film. “That’s Rocky Balboa right there (referencing Torrence) and I’m Apollo (Creed).
