4th of July Electric Light Parade come back bigger, brighter than ever

FARMINGTON – A large crowd started gathering around 7 p.m. downtown along Main Street to celebrate the return of a local Independence Day tradition, the 4th of July Electric Light Parade sponsored by the Farmington Rotary Club.

Victor-Farmington Rotary finishes Nicaragua project

MPNnow
A two-year project of the Victor-Farmington Rotary Club to bring clean water to a village in the north central portion of Nicaragua was finished with the installation of a community water tank and distribution system.
Victor-Farmington Rotary using club funding and financial support from 15 other clubs, 10 individual donors and a grant from the Rotary Foundation raised sufficient funding to implement the $67,000 project. The 700 residents of La Palma now have access to clean water for their homes, replacing an unregulated well.
The project also provides potable water for two schools and a medical facility serving over 1,000 people in the region. La Palma residents participated in the project by helping dig trenches and install piping. Each will have a spigot outside their residence and pay a nominal fee to use the water. Training is provided to ensure the system is operated and maintained in a safe and efficient manner. ....
