Noida: A Noida-based company was allegedlycheated of nearly Rs 2 crore by hackers based abroad. Officials of Aditya Infratech in Sector 4 have alleged that the accused hacked the email accounts of the company’s two China-based suppliers and sought payment in different bank accounts for the delivery of surveillance cameras. The company officials deposited the money in different transactions to the accounts provided by the alleged hackers and realised it was duped of Rs 1.86 crore when the Chinese suppliers — Foshan Yuyang Imp and Exp Corporation Limited and Hangzhou Xiongmai Trading Co Ltd China — said they didn’t receive it. Aditya Infratech officials initially approached Delhi Police, which transferred the case to their Noida counterparts — but that too, a year after receiving the complaint. However, an FIR is yet to be lodged.
