Pak-Iran-Afghan border: Inbound pedestrian crossing banned

ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Sunday decided to temporarily suspend incoming pedestrian movement at overland border crossings with Afghanistan and Iran to restrain import of any new mutation of the coronavirus.
The current policy of land border management with Afghanistan and Iran has been reviewed to ensure regulated inbound pedestrian movement and effective management of COVID protocols at border terminals (BTS), read the statement issued by the NCOC.
The revised policy will be effective from midnight May 4-5 till midnight May 19-20. The policy will only be applicable to inbound pedestrians with no effect on the existing cargo/trade (bilateral/Afghan Transit Trade) movement. ....

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday announced slashing inbound international flights to 20 per cent for a 15-day period and banned Youm-e-Ali processions as its latest bid to rein in a third coronavirus that threatened to overwhelm healthcare systems with high case loads.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), in view of the prevailing global and regional disease trends, Pakistan has decided to reduce inbound international travel from May 5 to May 20. “International flights to Pakistan will be reduced to 20 per cent during this period,” it said in a press release. ....

Coronavirus: Curbs on inbound flights to Pakistan extended

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Saturday notified the extension of curbs imposed on inbound flights to Pakistan.
The CAA, in a notification, said the restrictions would be imposed till March 18. The development comes after the country s coronavirus cases surged past 600,000.
Pakistan s coronavirus cases have moved up to 602,536 since the first case reported last February, with 13,476 people succumbing to the virus and a positivity ratio of 5.5%. In the last 24 hours, 2,338 cases were recorded, and 46 patients died due to the disease.
Punjab, after the UK virus variant, started spreading across the province, imposed new restrictions that will start Saturday night. ....

Friday I got a hydrafacial and it left my skin feeling amazing!
One of my favorite parts of the weekend waking up, drinking some cold brew, and scrolling through TikToks until I m caffeinated enough to seize the day!
Saturday I had two friends over for some mimosas.
After mimosas we hopped over to some breweries in the North Loop. It wasn t quite as warm as we thought it would be but it was still so nice to be sitting outside and soaking up some sun.
Sunday I grabbed brunch with some college girlfriends!

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - According to the annual 2020 United Van Lines National Movers Study, Alabama made the top 10 list of states people moved to in 2020, coming in at number 8.
Meanwhile, Huntsville came in as the fourth most moved to city for in 2020.
Claire Aiello with the Huntsville Madison County Chamber said the reason behind people moving to the Rocket City is simple.
“This is a market that’s very resilient to the pandemic,” she said. “A lot of people who are able to work from home here. Many of our companies have positions where you can telework.” ....
