A COCKERMOUTH primary school is leading the way in a national tree planting campaign. Pupils at All Saints School have been thinking about the world’s environment - and how they can do their bit to help. Reception teacher Fiona Miller said: They are very environmentally aware and are learning about the importance of trees for our air quality, climate change and as part of the ecosystem. They have been thinking how everyone of us can help in our own small way to make changes for a better future. As such they decided to plant a tree in the school grounds. Oakhurst Garden Centre offered to help out and delivered a selection of suitable trees for the children to choose between. ....
