AMRITSAR: Even over a century after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre on April 13, 1919, which marked a turning point in India’s history, no one is exactly sure how many people died in the firing by British troops that day.
With the list of 492 Jallianwala Bagh martyrs uploaded by the district administration on its website only adding to the confusion, historians and Jallianwala Bagh Shaheed Parivar Samiti members have now demanded that a rectified list be released at the national level to set the record straight once and for all on this historical occurrence. ....
