Every year the Hillsboro FFA Chapter recognizes a group of individuals who have excelled in their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects with a proficiency award at the annual FFA Banquet. Proficiency awards are based on a member’s SAE project.
The award recognizes individual skills and career-based competencies developed through multiple years of participation in immersion-type SAE projects. HILLSBORO In a Frontier Athletic Conference battle on Friday night, the Hillsboro Indians defended Richard Shaffer Park against conference and Highland City foe McClain, winning by a 10-0 score in five innings.
The Indians gained the win with a very strong start, as they scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, then followed with one run in the second. From there, the Indians scored two runs in the third and three runs in the fourt ....

On March 28, the Hillsboro FFA held the annual Chapter Banquet. Members were recognized for their hard work and dedication, and some were recognized for getting their State Degree.
The State FFA Degree is awarded to students who have earned at least $2,500 from their SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience), have been enrolled in an ag class for at least two years, have at least 25 hours’ worth of community service and hold at least a Chapter Degree. Receiving the State Degree is a huge success and proves just how dedicated students are in the FFA. ....
