Jul 20, 2021 ComPol Says “Good People” Will Get Stopped Depending on Area Crime “Demographics” On Monday night, we told you the results of a racial profiling case heard in the Supreme Court. Justice Westmin James handed down a decision in the case brought against the Belize Police Department by Greg Nunez and Bryton Codd, two young black men. The judge ruled that it was unconstitutional for police to take pictures of the two men during a stop and search on August fourth 2020. The search yielded nothing, and the matter was taken to court. Jul 2, 2021 Bryton Codd Tapped to Play Professional Volleyball in Finland History was made today for the volleyball sport when for the first time a Belizean athlete was signed to play professionally in Europe. He is the third athlete from the Central American region to be drafted to play professionally in that part of the world. Twenty-six-year-old volleyball player and News Five anchor Bryton Codd has been chosen to play with a team in Finland for the next two years. It is a dream come true; something Codd says he has been working hard to achieve.

Apr 16, 2021 Sports Community Host Press Conference On Thursday, one national team member aired his discontent with the recent amendments to the COVID-19 regulations, which does not give any consideration to the resumption of contact sports for training purposes. As we reported, the sports community was planning to execute a sit in inside the Princess Casino to send a message to the Government of Belize. Well, the community made a last-minute decision to host a press conference instead at the Black Horse Athletic Gym in Belize City. Members of basketball, Brazilian jujitsu, softball and volleyball athletic associations joined in the call for the resumption of training. ....
