I would call my mum from the hospital every day in floods of tears, she was my absolute rock.” However in a tragic turn of events, while Ra-ang was still on a ventilator in hospital, Arti s mum Hansaben started to feel unwell. Premium Content Subscriber only A Central Queensland hospital has purchased new equipment to service the maternity unit thanks to a donation from a nearby mining company. Glencore Coal has donated more than $8000 through the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, which has funded a Symphony Breast Pump with Stand and a Jaundice Detector for Emerald Hospitalâs Maternity, Child and Family Health sector. Glencore Coalâs Community Relations Manager, Craig Strudwick, said it was fantastic to support the communities in which its workforce lived. âWeâre proud to support the Humpty Dumpty Foundation in purchasing much-needed equipment for Emerald Hospital,â he said. âWe hope the equipment makes a difference to mothers and babies in the early years of a childâs life.â ....

The Emerald business has partnered with the children’s charity since 2012, purchasing more than $45,000 worth of equipment for Central Queensland Hospitals. Its latest donation provided a pulse oximeter ($2180) and breast pump ($3470) for the Emerald Hospital. “We are privileged to be in position where we can give back to our local community to create a lasting impact that extends beyond our business,” Hitachi Emerald administration manager Kathryn Lynam said. Humpty Dumpty keeps a regularly updated ‘wish list’ of medical items needed in regional hospitals across Australia, which are purchased with the support of individuals and corporate partners. ....
