Doha: The crescent moon marking the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan was sighted in Qatar today.
The Moon Sighting Committee of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced that tomorrow, Tuesday, April 13, 2021 will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
This came in a statement issued by the Committee after its meeting this evening at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, chaired by Dr Sheikh Thaqeel Al Shammari. ....

Doha: Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has removed the Tweet saying Tuesday is the first of day Ramadan and put out a new tweet saying they will re-examine the sighting of the crescent moon of Ramadan tomorrow, Monday.
The Moon Sighting Committee of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs had earlier announced that crescent moon was not sighted today.
