Slaton Harvey House unveils restored railroad caboose The Slaton Harvey House hosted a celebration to show off the recently restored interior of an early 1900s Caboose that will now be on display at the historic bed and breakfast, museum and venue in Slaton. Donors Billy Watson and Rand & Georgette McPherson, along with representatives from the Community Foundation of West Texas and others, were among attendees at the event Friday morning at the Harvey House at 400 Railroad Ave. The caboose had been used as an office at Watson Foods in Lubbock for many years, according to the Slaton Railroad Heritage Association. ....
