CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Almost half of the Hamilton County population is vaccinated, but Hamilton County health officials say there is a decrease in people getting it.
Around 45% of eligible Hamilton County residents have received the COVID-19 vaccine, according to officials.
County health leaders say there are plenty of vaccines to go around, but fewer people are wanting to get them.
“We are seeing it a lot more difficult to fill appointments right now,” Hamilton County Health Commissioner Greg Kesterman said. “Two weeks ago, if you tried to get a vaccine, it was really hard to get an appointment anywhere, and over the last two weeks, we’ve transitioned to finally having spots available for people to be abl ....

COVID-19 vaccine: Walk-in clinic at Paul Brown Stadium this weekend


Access to COVID-19 vaccine in Hamilton County and across the Cincinnati region is widening from appointment-only to walk-ins-welcome, and officials said Wednesday they hope the convenience will spur acceptance nearly four months into the campaign.
In contrast to the early weeks of scarcity, vaccine quantity and availability are rapidly growing, said county Commissioner Denise Driehaus. “Everyone in Hamilton County now lives within a 10-minute drive of a vaccination site, on the weekend, during the week, in the morning, in the evening, with an appointment, without an appointment.”
The city of Cincinnati also is widening distributions to walk-in this coming weekend including at a clinic at Paul Brown Stadium, said Marla Fuller, spokeswoman for the city health department. The hours were scheduled for 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Fuller said in an email. ....
