Tim and his wife of 19 years, Jennifer, have two children in Comal ISD and are passionate supporters of public education. Tim is actively involved in their children’s schools. He frequently volunteers, supporting teachers through reading assistance and mentoring at risk youth. As a pilot, he continues to share his passion with the introduction of a STEM-based aviation program at the local high school.
Why do you want to serve (or continue serving) on the board of trustees?
I have a vested interest in the performance of Comal ISD and the educational services provided to the community. As a current sitting Board Trustee, I’d like to continue with the progress that we have made throughout the district. This includes implementation of safety and security measures in the district, a strong strategic plan with clear goals for academic achievement and targeting college, career and military readiness. LEGALLY there is nothing to stop a speed van from setting up outside a church but is it within the “spirit” of the law?
Cllr Mike Donegan has raised the question at a number of Cappamore-Kilmallock Municipal District meetings. Yet, he got reports that a speed van was back again outside SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kilmallock on Saturday.
Cllr Donegan said a number of locals have raised their concerns about the holy location being used to catch speeding motorists.
If you are rushing to get to Mass in Kilmallock you could easily find yourself before a judge after you’ve been before the Lord. Not even an all powerful God can remove penalty points from your record. ....

Anthony G. “Tony” Barone, 86, of Lakewood, N.Y., passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa.
A lifelong area resident, he was born April 25, 1934, in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of the late George L. and Gladys Wullenweber Barone.
Anthony graduated with honors from the former Lakewood High School in 1952, where he was a member of the basketball and baseball teams.
He attended Notre Dame University in South Bend, Ind., in the pre-pharmacy program, graduating in 1956 and attended the University of Buffalo pharmacy school graduating in 1957.
Anthony spent 48 years as a pharmacist in the area. He began his professional career in 1957 working for the family business, the former Lakewood Drug Store. He purchased the Lakewood Drug Store in 1976 and it continued as the neighborhood pharmacy until Rite Aid purchased the business in 1990. Anthony continued his pharmacy career as pharmacy manager at the Lakewood Rite Aid until ....
