St Paul (KROC AM News) -  Four more people who were part of what authorities say was a large Minnesota methamphetamine distribution operation have been sentenced.
The US Attorney’s Office in St Paul made the announcement Thursday.
The investigation included the Drug Enforcement Administration and several law enforcement agencies from southeast Minnesota and the Twin Cities.

According to court documents, between March 2020 through at least April 2020, those charged in the case
“were involved in a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation.”
Officers made a traffic stop on April 14, 2020, near Faribault. In the vehicle were 33-year-old Katherine Byrd Campbell of Rochester and 40-year-old Lucas Jay Madison of St Paul. They were returning to Minnesota from Phoenix and a search of the vehicle turned up 23 pounds of methamphetamine ....

Rochester woman among methamphetamine traffickers sentenced in federal court
Four people, including a Rochester woman, involved in a Twin Cities-based methamphetamine trafficking ring were sentenced Thursday, June 3, 2021, to prison for their roles in the drug distribution conspiracy.

Four Minnesotans who were members of a trafficking ring that brought drugs from the southwestern U.S. to Minnesota were sentenced in federal court Thursday to prison.
Brandon Earl Swanson, 41, of Crystal, was sentenced to 144 months in prison and five years of supervised release.
Jared William Merta, 40, of Montrose, was sentenced to 170 months in prison and five years of supervised release. ....

Faribault Police Investigating Fentanyl Overdose Deaths
The Faribualt Police Department and Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force are investigating two Fentenyl overdose deaths in Faribault.
In a joint news release from Faribault Police Chief Andy Bohlen and CRDVO Task Force Commander Paul LaRoche authorities are asking for the public s assistance in their investigation.
The news release says;
On Saturday, January 9, 2021, the Faribault Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 block of 2nd Street NE for two reported deceased persons. The reporting party stated she came to the residence to pick up her child, and upon entering the residence found a male and female deceased on the floor. She exited the residence with her child and called police. Initial investigation indicates the two died from a narcotics overdose. ....
