Federal officials are preparing to give away two historic New England Lighthouses, including surrounding land and buildings, after deciding that the beacons are no longer needed by the Coast Guard.But this isn t your chance to get some cheap, seaside real estate.The General Services Administration said it will only accept applications for the 166- and 165-year-old Rhode Island lighthouses from certain kinds of organizations. Gundalow Company announces Virtual Gundalow Gathering Series

PORTSMOUTH The Gundalow Company has announced its Winter/Spring Virtual Gundalow Gatherings line up.
Now, in its eighth year, the event shifts from gatherings in private homes across the Seacoast, to welcoming a wider audience via a Zoom-based event calendar. 
The initial roster of speakers will entertain and engage all audiences on a variety of topics, said Rich Clyborne, Executive Director of the Gundalow Company. We wanted to make sure we continued this annual tradition; our gatherings are something many of our members and supporters look forward to each year.
Kicking off the series will be a documentary on February 25th. Blue Latitudes returns from last spring’s short film and discussion “Rigs to Reefs,” hosted by principals Emily Hazelwood and Amber Sparks, to present “Faka’apa’apa.” The film features Vava‘u, an island group in the Kingdom of Tonga where a g ....
