Residents of a north Auckland suburb, particularly its large elderly community, are being urged to stay vigilant following the announcement of two community cases of Covid-19. Two people who tested positive for Covid-19 after leaving MIQ in Auckland visited multiple locations in Ōrewa and the greater Rodney and North Shore areas prior to testing positive. Following the announcement, queues for Ōrewa’s Covid-19 testing station, at Victor Eaves Park, spilled out down Florence Ave and West Hoe Rd from 10am, with 60 cars still queued at noon. ....
