LOCK HAVEN– The Lock Haven University Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the LHU Alumni Association will host a panel of African American alumni at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24 on Zoom. The event part of the university’s Black History Month celebration events.
The panel will discuss the African American experience at LHU from the 190s to the present day. Six African American alumni panelists from the past five decades will share professional success stories and highlights from their time at The Haven and how LHU helped propel their professional success.
Panelists include Ed Wright ’71, Brenda (Jones) Elby ’73, Dr. Angelique “Angie” Bacon-Woodard ’86, Dr. Warren Edward Whitaker Sr. ’05, Lawrence Wright ’99 and Wayne Gibbs’89. The event will be moderated by Albert Jones ’99. There will be a Q & A segment at the end of the panel and the event is open to students, alumni, faculty, staff and the community.
