Indian Oil on Sunday conducted an awareness Cyclothon: Saksham-2021, signalling a month-long campaign on fuel conservation organised by Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) to sensitise citizens to the need of energy conservation.
On the theme ‘Green and Clean Energy’, the cyclothon also promotes the use of bicycle for short distances not only to create a greener environment, but also for better health.
The cyclothan taken out by 150 volunteers was flagged off by Nagapattinam MP M. Selvarasu in the presence of M. Durai, Superintendent of Police, Tiruvarur; S. Asokan, Senior Manager (Retail Sales),Trichy Divisional Office, and other senior officials. ....

Petroleum Conservation Research Association to organise online competitions

Chandigarh, February 8
The “Petroleum Conservation Research Association” (PCRA), under the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is holding an online essay, painting and quiz competition for students of Class VII to class X across the country.
On behalf of the Haryana School Shiksha Pariyojna Parishad instructions have been given to all District Education Officers, District Basic Education Officers, District Project Coordinator, Block Education Officer and Block Elementary Education Officers of the state to motivate maximum students of government and private schools under them to participate in the competition.
Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of the Parishad said that schools will have to register for these competitions named “Saksham” National Competition 2020-21 by March 10. ....

JAMMU, Jan 31: Oil Industry J&K comprising IOC, BPC & HPC under the flag of Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) organized a cycle rally wherein over 200 cyclists participated, here today.
The Cyclothon was flagged off by chief guest Deepak Digra, SP City Jammu South in presence of Rajiv Yadav, State Level Co-coordinator cum DGM (RS) IOCL from Indian Oil Divisional Office complex at Rail Head Jammu.
The objective of the Cyclothon was to make the citizens aware about the need of conservation of petroleum products as these are limited and will deplete over the years to come. Deepak Digra gave a brief on oil conservation by employing various day to day activities. ....
