GREENSBORO, N.C. – University of Massachusetts Dartmouth sophomore Cameron Rodgers (Fall River, Mass.) became the first Corsair in program history to earn All-America honors in the 400-meter hurdles this afternoon, when he crossed the finish line in third place at the 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Rodgers is the first hurdler in UMass Dartmouth program history to achieve All-America status since Jonathan Garcia won the 2007 national championship in the 110-meters. He is also the 39th Corsair men s track and field athlete to reach the national milestone. Rodgers wasn t bogged down by the rain-soaked conditions on the Irwin Belk Track as he registered his second fastest time of the season, stopping the clock at 53.01 seconds. The Fall River, Mass. native held his position on the outside lane and entered the final turn among the lead pack of four runners. The top-ranked Eagles ended the season with a wealth of national top-10 marks – try 15 of them, to be exact. Skye Digman gave UW-La Crosse its only two chart-toppers with her efforts in the shot put (14.11m/46-3½) and weight throw (17.95m/58-10¾). Hannah Zenkovich is the only other Eagle ranked in the top-2 nationally, as she owns the No. 2 spot in the 60H (8.69). Loras jumped three spots from No. 5 to No. 2 based off its efforts at the DIII Elite Indoor Track & Field Championships. Kassie Rosenbum ended the season with a strong outing in the 3000 at 9:44.14, which put her No. 2 on the season-ending Descending Order List.
