NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A 17-year-old has been charged after a man was shot and killed in East Nashville back in February.
Metro police said 17-year-old Dewaun White was charged Wednesday night after 22-year-old Braxton Cooper was killed on Feb. 3. The call came in at the Berkshire Place Apartments on Porter Road.
According to police, Cooper went to the apartment complex to buy a gun from White. At some point, police said a fight happened during the transaction inside Cooper’s car. Cooper was shot and later died at an area hospital. ....

Police in Nashville this morning arrested a 21-year-old man who they say randomly shot and killed a COVID nurse as she drove to work last week.
Members of the Nashville Police Department’s SWAT team acting on a tip apprehended 21-year-old Devaunte Hill at his home in Berkshire Place Apartments at 6.15am on Friday.
Hill was booked into the Davidson County Jail on charges of criminal homicide and assault causing bodily harm in connection with the December 3 killing of 26-year-old Caitlyn Kaufman. He was being held without bond.

Authorities in Tennessee have arrested a suspect in the murder of an intensive care unit nurse, who was fatally shot while she was commuting to work last week.
Devaunte Hill was taken into custody early Friday morning by Metro Nashville Police Department SWAT team members at his home in Berkshire Place Apartments, according to authorities. He is facing a criminal homicide charge in the slaying of Caitlyn Kaufman.
The 26-year-old was on her way to Saint Thomas West Hospital for a 7 p.m. shift when a gunman opened fire on her gray Mazda SUV. Her body was found hours later by an officer, who initially believed her car had been involved in a single-vehicle crash. ....

Nashville SWAT team arrested Devaunte Hill, 21, early Friday for the killing of Caitlyn Kaufman
Kaufman, 26, was on her way to work at St Thomas West Hospital in Nashville on December 3 when her car was struck by gunfire around 6.30pm 
Police said they got a tip on Thursday that identified Hill as the suspect and also led them to the 9mm handgun used in the homicide 
Kaufman and Hill did not know each other prior to the shooting, cops said
Her mother Diane said she was relieved to hear of Hill s arrest   ....
