Baltimoreâ Michael Parker has been named Senior Vice President of Comcastâs Beltway Region where he will serve as the head executive responsible for operations, overall customer experience and financial performance for approximately 2.5 million customers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and parts of Delaware, North Carolina and West Virginia.
âI have had the privilege of working with Michael as our senior executive in several markets across the northeast and Midwest over the last decade. I am equally excited for him as he assumes responsibility for our Beltway region, the largest operating region in the Northeast division,â said Kevin Casey, President of Comcastâs Northeast Division, which includes 14 northeastern states from Maine through Virginia and the District of Columbia.

COVID-19 has highlighted the disparity in internet access in the US as it forced schooling online.
Comcast will roll out 29 of its WiFi-connected Lift Zones in Washington, DC, Baltimore, and Virginia over the next several weeks, the company announced Monday.
The aim of the project is to provide free internet access to low-income families so they can more easily attend virtual schooling, look for jobs, access online resources, and participate in the digital economy, Comcast said.
