Loop News The marine police arrested six fishermen after they were found with over 600 pounds of lobsters, during a closed season. The operation took place in Blue-fields, Westmoreland on Friday. Reports are that between 5:00 am and 6 :00 am a team of officers was patrolling the coasts when they stopped and search a vessel that was traveling from Pedro Banks towards Bluefields. During the search of the vessel that the men were traveling in 668 pounds of lobsters were found. Six men were arrested and charged under the Fisheries Act for the possession of Lobster in closed season. The men who were arrested have been identified as Lebert Pryce, 66, Thadius Dave, 62, Bertel Ried, 62, Anthony Michael Lee, 52, Christopher Dale, 40 all of White Horses, Westmoreland addresses. ....

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica Six men were on Friday arrested and charged under the Fisheries Act with possession of lobster in closed season, after marine police found 668 pounds of the shellfish aboard their vessel in Bluefields, Westmoreland.
Reports from the marine police are that between the hours of 5:00 am and 6:00 am, the lawmen were patrolling the coast when they stopped and searched the vessel that was travelling from Pedro Banks towards Bluefields (off the island s south western coast). ....
