CLEVELAND – In their final road game of the 2020-21 season, the Grand Rapids Griffins fell to the Cleveland Monsters by a 6-4 count on Friday at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
After getting shut out by
Kaden Fulcher and the Griffins 2-0 here on Tuesday, the Monsters opened the scoring 6:07 into this contest, when Tristan Mullin roofed a shot over Fulcher from low in the left circle. Cleveland’s potent power play then connected just seven seconds into its first opportunity, as Carson Meyer scored from the slot at 8:18 to make it 2-0 for the home team. ....

Funeral directors in Nova Scotia have had a year of trying to comfort families with just their eyes, and bringing loved ones from around the world together virtually.
Although it s been difficult, those in the industry say many of the changes have been for the better and will allow more flexibility and safety even after the COVID-19 pandemic is under control.

Frequent changing of restrictions is part of pandemic pain, but many are getting used to it

The low number of COVID-19 cases in Nova Scotia led to a rollback of month-long restrictions put in place for several counties including Halifax just last week.
While the reversal is frustrating for some, others see the pivot as just part of the pain of this pandemic.
Navigating COVID-19 restrictions has required a lot of stopping and starting.
Neptune Theatre got the green light to put on a show and on Feb. 26, they learned they would have to postpone that series of concerts and play readings.
Less than a week later, the province lifted restrictions they imposed a week before. ....

The Chicago Wolves became the American Hockey League’s first 4-0 team and kept the Grand Rapids Griffins winless Thursday afternoon, breaking a third-period tie before adding an empty-netter for a 4-2 win at the Triphahn Center Ice Arena in Chicago.
Dennis Cholowski scored his first goal of the season 6:07 into the third to complete Grand Rapids’ comeback from a 2-0 deficit, but David Cotton notched his second of the game 1:26 later to put Chicago ahead for good. ....
