Letter of Intent signed to affiliate Riverton Medical District with Billings Clinic


RIVERTON, Wyo. - A group of Riverton business and community leaders are making Wyoming health care history with plans to build a new hospital in Riverton. A major step forward was taken Wednesday as the Riverton Medical District announced it has signed a Letter of Intent to pursue affiliation and clinical partnership with Billings Clinic.
As stated in a press release, the partnership with Riverton adds to Billings Clinic’s relationships in numerous Wyoming communities including Basin, Lovell, Powell, and two clinics in Cody.
Billings Clinic is an independent not for profit, physician-led and community governed organization that is affiliated with (not owned by) the Mayo Clinic as a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. ....

ARDYCE BEVERLY (MIDTLIEN) OSTREM
Ardyce Beverly (Midtlien) Ostrem, age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Beartooth Billings Clinic in Red Lodge, Mont., on Dec. 27, 2020.
Ardyce was born on Aug. 21, 1935, to Maurice and Gertrude Midtlien. Her family lived in Bad Axe Valley near Westby, Wis. Ardyce attended Westby Area Schools and, following graduation, attended the College of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, Minn., to become a medical and lab technician. Ardyce went on to work at Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua, Wis.
On Oct. 1, 1955, Ardyce married Keith Ostrem at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Westby. Ardyce and Keith initially lived in Milwaukee, Wis., before moving back to the Westby and Viroqua area to farm and raise their six children. In 1975, the family opted for a new adventure and moved to Belgrade, Mont. In Belgrade, Ardyce worked for Dr. Howell, the Belgrade Baptist Church daycare and Trappers Cabin Ranch near Big Sky.
