On a rainy day in Washington, Pastor Michael Kelsey Senior is here at his Northeast DC church, along with more than 200 Washingtonians and a mobile vaccination clinic set up in the church parking lot.
We’re seeing numbers increase, we are seeing inhibition and hesitation decrease and to G-d be the glory, said Kelsey.
It’s the second of four events being held here. But making the choice to host vaccination clinics didn’t come easily.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The deadline to file a sexual abuse claim against the Archdiocese of New Orleans in its federal bankruptcy case expired as of March 1, 2021.
The church filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in May of last year. It said it was necessary because of ongoing budget challenges and the financial strain of decades-old clergy abuse litigation.
We spoke with attorney James Stang, who represents the creditors committee in the bankruptcy proceedings, which includes alleged sexual abuse victims. He said as of about two weeks ago, there were 180 claims against the church on file. He expected to see claims come in until the last minute. ....

The leadership in New Orleans said two other vaccines in use in the US, made by Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna, were acceptable despite having been developed with “some lab testing that utilised the abortion-derived cell line”.
