St. Katherine's special students enjoy visit from special guest – Catholic Philly

The special education students and their faculty and staff of St. Katherine Day School in Wynnewood gave a warm welcome to Archbishop Nelson Perez when he visited the school May 11. One of three schools of special education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, St. Katherine’s teaches students from age 4 to 21 with multiple impairments and offers a life skills program, which includes functional academics. In addition to the Wynnewood campus, St. Katherine’s has a program at Archbishop Carroll High School, Radnor. Read more about the archbishop’s visit to the school here. (Photos by Sarah Webb)

Legislation introduced in the Louisiana House of Representatives would establish an Education Savings Account (ESA) Program open to any K–12 student who is the child of an active duty military service member, or in foster care, or “was enrolled in a [public] school that did not offer an option for students to receive one hundred percent of instruction continuously in person for at least one semester” during the previous school year. ....
