REDDITCH residents have voiced their support for plans to build a new café, toilets and additional car parking at Morton Stanley Park. Redditch Borough Council wants to enhance the area by introducing a new facility to attract people to the park. They are seeking planning permission to develop of a new building at the site which would contain a kitchen, a café and three uni-sex toilets. An outside seating area is proposed for the café area and the existing 66-space car park would be extended with an additional 50 spaces. There would also be footpath works including the surfacing of the area linking the car park to the play area and the proposed café building. ....

On one side of the issue are proponents of the name change, who say they’re worried about the impacts on students of the name “Dixie,” which has connections to the Confederacy and the slave-owning American South. In southwest Utah, 19th century pioneers grew cotton, and some of the area’s early settlers were former slave owners. ....

Image Source: IANS News New Delhi, Feb 4 : Channel 4 has signed a deal with Star Sports to show free-to-air live television coverage of England s four-match Test series against India which begins Friday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This will be the first time live Test cricket will be shown free-to-air television in the UK since Channel 4 showed England s Ashes win in 2005. This is fantastic news for all cricket fans in the UK. It s been a long 16-year wait for the return of live Test cricket to free to air television but it couldn t have come at a better time. What better antidote to the lockdown blues than an England Test series in sunny India, said Channel 4 s Chief Content Officer Ian Katz in a statement. ....
