LEBANON The Public Health Council of the Upper Valley and the Vermont Department of Health has upcoming walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics scheduled around the region. 
On Friday, a clinic for people 18 and older is scheduled at the Listen Thrift Store on Miracle Mile in Lebanon from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The clinic will offer the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines, based on availability.
Later that day, from 3 to 6 p.m., MTD Building Contractors, located at 9 on the Common in Canaan, will be hosting a clinic open to people 12 and older and offering the Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines, based on availability ....

WEST LEBANON New Hampshire town-by-town COVID-19 vaccination rates from the Department of Health and Human Services illustrate local differences in the state’s vaccination rollout that track with broader health disparities, according to a Dartmouth College researcher.
In several of the Upper Valley’s working-class communities, such as Claremont and Newport, the number of residents who have gotten at least one vaccination is below 50%, while the more affluent communities of Hanover and Lebanon, home to Dartmouth College and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, respectively, have rates above 70%, according to the data as of June 23 that DHHS provided to the ....

Residents of the Twin States continue to get vaccinated at relatively high rates and mask mandates in New Hampshire are easing, but Covid-19 cases and hospitalization rates also remain high.
When ranked nationally, New Hampshire comes in second and Vermont fourth in terms of Covid-19 vaccine administration per 100,000 people, according to the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation’s weekly Covid-19 modeling report.
As of April 15, 181,500 Vermonters, 29% of the state’s population, and 363,300 Granite Staters, almost 27% of the population, were fully vaccinated against Covid-19, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Covid data tracker. A larger share had received at least one dose: in Vermont, 278,600, nearly 45%, and in New Hampshire, 764,600, more than 56%. ....
