A community meeting took place in Wasco Thursday night to talk about rising crime rates in the community. This is the second task force meeting and it comes after recent crimes caused some concern in the community.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) -A teen is receiving treatment in an Atlanta hospital after being shot in the head Thursday night.
Police told us the shooting happened near Willow Oak Court and Forsyth Street.
This was just one of three shootings Albany police are looking into from Thursday night.
Albany Public Safety Committee Chairman, Chad Warbington, said shootings like this push forward conversations and actions on how to stop them.
Warbington also serves as representative for Ward 4 in the City of Albany. ....

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The debate over no-knock warrants returns to Cincinnati City Hall Tuesday.
Last month, Council’s Law & Public Safety Committee delayed proceeding with a motion that, if passed, would severely limit police use of no-knock warrants so they could give the police department and city manager time to weigh in.
Their remarks will be held in two weeks now, not Tuesday, Vice Mayor Christopher Smitherman says. ....

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Albany leaders talked about reducing night club hours and other security tactics to reduce overnight crimes at a Thursday City of Albany Public Safety Meeting.
Currently, you have to be out of Albany night clubs by 4 a.m., Tuesday through Sunday, according to Albany leaders.
City of Albany Public Safety Committee members have a new idea.
“Alcohol not being served passed 2:45 a.m. and then the businesses close, turn the lights off and go home at 3:15 a.m.,” Chad Warbington, committee chair and Albany city commissioner, said. ....
