SOUTHEASTERN N.C. –– Less than a year after the only truly public transportation option across the Cape Fear River folded, transit leaders may have found an alternative, more cost-efficient solution.
Wave Transit and Brunswick Transit System, Inc. (BTS) are jointly applying for state funding to operate a temporary microtransit system, with Wave serving as the lead agency.

Schumer secures more than $480 million for upstate airports and transit systems

CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. â U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that the recently-signed American Rescue Plan includes $480,249,023 that will guide upstate New Yorkâs pandemic-battered airports and transit systems to lift off. Specifically, upstate airports will receive $84,410,140, and upstate transit systems will receive $395,838,883 of the total amount.
Schumer said that as the COVID-19 crisis extends beyond what was initially estimated, impacting the air travel industry and public transportation systems for months on end, the federal funding allocated for them in the American Rescue Plan will help transportation systems keep their wheels turning while New York recovers from the pandemic and returns to ânormal. ....

Natural gas has been fuelling debates within Colombia`s energy segment. Dealing with a decline in its gas reserves and facing the risk of not meeting natural gas demand over the next few years, the South American country is racing against the time to maintain its promise of offering cleaner energy sources, where gas can play an important role.
